These test sets are used to determine the time of efflux of a specified amount of fluid hydraulic cement grout, by allowing it to flow through a standardized flow cone. It can be used with preplaced-aggregate (PA), but can also be used for other fluid grouts. The test method described in ASTM C939 determines the flow ability by measuring the time of discharge of a 1.725 Liters sample of grout as it is passed through a 0.5" (12.7 mm) orifice at the bottom of the cone.
