Purpose:
This standard describes a method of determination of the temperature below which solid hydrocarbon crystals may form in turbine and reciprocating engine fuels under cooling conditions, which may occur during flight or on airfield.

The entire instrument assembly Consists of Unsilvered Vacuum flask, Jacketed sample tube, Brass packing gland, Motorized stirrer with Digital RPM Indicator, Stopper, Clamps and Stand.
Note:
Operator shall arrange cooling medium such as Acetone and either methyl, ethyl, or isopropyl alcohols, which are suitable for experimental purpose. All of these require cautious handling. Liquid nitrogen may also be used as a coolant.
