FREEZING POINT APPARATUS - WITH MOTORIZED STIRRER - (ASTM D2386)

FREEZING POINT APPARATUS - NON REFRIGERATED - (ASTM D2386)

Model Number : EIE-PTLT-143NRM

Basic Instrument for Freezing point to determine the freezing point of aviation fuels, which is critical for ensuring that the fuel remains in a liquid state under the operational conditions encountered during flight. The Procedure involves cooling the aviation fuel sample and observing the temperature at which the first hydrocarbon crystals appear. The freezing point is defined as the temperature at which crystals begin to form. As per ASTM D2386 ‑ IP 16 ‑ NFM 07048 ‑ ISO 3013 ‑ DIN 51421. Refrigerated Model also available.

Compliance with following International Standards

ASTM D2386 ‑ IP 16 ‑ NFM 07048 ‑ ISO 3013 ‑ DIN 51421

Purpose:

This standard describes a method of determination of the temperature below which solid hydrocarbon crystals may form in turbine and reciprocating engine fuels under cooling conditions, which may occur during flight or on airfield.
