Applications
This method of test covers in approximate method of estimating whether organic compounds are present in natural sand in sufficient quantities to be harmful, and hence is intended to show whether further tests are necessary or desirable.
Details
The kit consist of glass bottle (6 Nos.) of 350 ml capacity, colorless glass graduated bottles equipped with watertight stoppers, not soluble in specified reagents. Gradation marks at
- Reference color solution level : 75 ml
- Sand/Fine aggregate level : 125 ml
- Sodium hydroxide solution level : 200 ml
The kit contains chemicals as per following
- Sodium hydroxide - AR grade (2.50 grams),
- Tannic acid powder - AR grade (100 grams)
- MOLYSOL`E`AR - 500 GM
- Alcohol 100 ml,
- Distilled water - 1000 ml
