AS PER ASTM D1559,ASTM D5581, AASHTO T245, EN 12697-12, EN 12697-34
Salient features
Temperature Conditioning: The water bath maintains a uniform temperature (typically 60 ± 1 °C or as specified) to condition the asphalt specimens before loading. This ensures the material exhibits properties similar to field conditions.
Uniform Heating: It prevents localized overheating or underheating, which can influence the stability and flow values.
Reproducibility: Accurate temperature control ensures consistent test results, critical for comparing asphalt performance across different mixes or batches.
