Applications

Specifically used to measure the slaking or hydration rate of quicklime (calcium oxide) when it is mixed with water. The slaking process is exothermic, and the apparatus typically measures the temperature rise over time to determine how quickly the lime reacts.

Consists of following parts and accessories

1) Mechanical Stirrer : Fitted with a special stainless stirring rod, the end of which is formed into a loop to follow the contour of the reaction container as per EN 459-2 Standard. With Digital RPM Indicator and speed controller. Power supply : 230 volts, 50 Hz, Single Phase, AC Supply.

2) Modified Dewar Flask : Capacity 1000 ml fitted with Special rubber/Teflon gasket cover

3) Digital Thermometer : 0° to 199° C x 0.1° C with temperature measuring probe 

4) Complete with base and stand
