Purpose
The purpose of the test is to measure the ability of a grease to protect a bearing against corrosion even in the presence of water.
Test summary
Two sets of grease-coated bearings per station are partially immersed in water (distilled, salt or synthetic sea-water) and rotated at a speed of 80 rpm in a sequence of running and resting periods. At end of the test, the raceways of the bearing outer rings are inspected for rust.

Details of the test rig
- Capable of performing 4/6/8 tests at a time
- Provided with Base plate.
- Electric motor with gear.
- Electronic Timer for predetermined time setting with on/off.
- Plummer blocks (bearing housing) made of 316 grade stainless steel.
- Steel shaft.
- Adapter sleeves, sleeve nuts and V ring.
- Supplied with test bearings – 4 Nos. (Indian SKF bearings with PVC cage) as per IP220.
- Supplied with required tools and fixtures.
- Operated on 230 volts, 50 hz, single phase, AC Supply
Note : New pair of test bearings - Either (Indian SKF bearings with PVC cage) or Imported 1306K/ 236725 Bearings are required for each test. Please take note of it.
