Applications

Evaluates the tendency of automotive wheel bearing grease to separate oil and/or grease under prescribed laboratory conditions. The test is performed at elevated temperature in a modified automotive spindle-hub assembly rotated at 660rpm. Any leakage of oil or grease during the test period is collected and weighed.

  3. Hinged shield with thermal insulation.
  4. Safety switch that stops the motor and the heating, when the shield is open.
  5. Stainless steel bearing spindle fixed to the body with insulating spacers.
  6. Supplied complete with Jacket for ASTM 7C spindle thermometer. (Thermometer ports in the spindle and the cabinet allow for precise setting and monitoring of test temperature.)
  7. 1/3 HP electric motor with metal shaft extension, drive pulley and fan built exactly as prescribed by the ASTM D 1263 test method. Stainless steel hub with pulley and leakage collector.
  8. The motor is mounted on an adjustable support to permit tightening the pulley.
  9. Complete with Stainless steel heaters.
  10. Temperature control through PROGRAMMABLE LOGIC CONTROLLER & TOUCH SCREEN HMI DISPLAY.
  11. Comes with overheating protection and safety thermostat
  12. Wide temperature range.
