DE-AIRED WATER APPARATUS WITH VACUUM PUMP FOR TRIAIXIAL TEST

DE-AIRED WATER APPARATUS

Model Number : 97-1

De-aired water is crucial in soil and rock testing, especially for triaxial tests, to prevent inaccuracies caused by air bubbles. The presence of dissolved air can: Affect pore water pressure measurements, reduce sample saturation, Impact fluid permeability and disturb the effective stress principle: Accurate triaxial testing relies on maintaining proper pore pressures, which is not possible if air remains in the system. As per IS:2720(Part 11), ASTM D7181 , BS 1377-8,

The equipment has been designed specifically to meet the demand for de-aired water for use with Soil Testing Apparatus for reduction of time and labor to consolidate soil samples. For simultaneous flushing of many hydraulic Piezometer lines in dams and earth works to considerably reduce labor and disturbance at the top ends. It is particularly important that only de-aired water is used in the Pore Pressure measurement system. Any dissolved air in the water leads to error in measurement of Pore Pressure, particularly at low pressure.

 Salient Features :

  1. Compact and self contained unit
  2. De-airs quickly and efficiently reduce levels of dissolved oxygen, acceptable for geotechnical test methods.
  3. Air is removed from the water by a vacuum system.
