This test method covers the determination of the amount of carbon residue left after evaporation and pyrolysis of an oil, and is intended to provide some indication of relative coke‑forming propensity.

- External body fabricated from mild steel material, which is powder coated in attractive shades
- Cast Iron solid block coking furnace with 5 test wells to accommodate cocking bulbs
- Uniform heat distribution throughout all the wells
- Walls heavily insulated to avoid thermal leakages
- Fitted with Independent over‑temperature cut‑out safety system
- Supplied complete with 5 cocking bulbs and a syringe
