Applications

Covers the determination of the equilibrium boiling point of engine coolants. The equilibrium boiling point indicates the temperature at which the sample will start to boil in a cooling system under equilibrium conditions at atmospheric pressure.

Details of apparatus

 Complete apparatus consists of following parts and accessories

1)  Flask

100 ml round-bottom short-neck, heat resistant glass flask with standard taper, female ground-glass joint and side-entering tube for the introduction of the thermometer

2)  Condenser

1. Water-cooled
2. Reflux glass-tube type

3)  Heating mantle

1. Temp controlled by Energy regulator
2. Supplied complete with rod, clamp and pliers
3. Operation on : 230 volts, 50 hz, Single phase, AC Supply

4)  Thermometer

1. ASTM 2C
2. Equivalent to IP 62C
3. Temp range : -5 to 300 °C x 1 °C
