Applications

Covers the determination of the equilibrium boiling point of engine coolants. The equilibrium boiling point indicates the temperature at which the sample will start to boil in a cooling system under equilibrium conditions at atmospheric pressure.

Details of apparatus

 Complete apparatus consists of following parts and accessories

1)  Flask

100 ml round-bottom short-neck, heat resistant glass flask with standard taper, female ground-glass joint and side-entering tube for the introduction of the thermometer

2)  Condenser

• Water-cooled
• Reflux glass-tube type

3)  Heating mantle

• Temp controlled by Energy regulator
• Supplied complete with rod, clamp and pliers
• Operation on : 230 volts, 50 hz, Single phase, AC Supply

4)  Thermometer

• ASTM 2C
• Equivalent to IP 62C
• Temp range : -5 to 300 °C x 1 °C
