Compliance Standards:

IP 40, ASTM D525, IS 1448 (P-28), EN ISO 7536

Applications:

To determine the oxidation stability of gasoline in finished form only, under accelerated oxidation conditions

Summary of test method:

The sample is oxidized in a pressure vessel initially filled at 15 to 25°C with oxygen pressure at 690 to 705 kPa and heated at a temperature between 98 and 102°C. The pressure is recorded continuously or read at stated intervals until the breakpoint is reached. The time required for the sample to reach this point is the observed induction period at the temperature of test, from which the induction period at 100°C can be calculated

Details

The complete apparatus consists of following parts and accessories

1) Dry Bath - Accommodates 04 Test Vessels (Oxidation Pressure Cylinders)

  1. Bench Top design
  2. Aesthetic exterior appearance
  3. Exterior body is fabricated from stainless steel material S.S. - 304 Grade
  4. Interior chamber is also fabricated from stainless steel material S.S. - 304 Grade
  5. Suitable for the accommodation of up to four (4) oxidation cylinders according to ASTM specifications
  6. Lid with 4 holes for vessel accommodation and 1 hole for thermometer
  7. Oxygen sampling system with manometer and needle valve
  8. Bath temperature range from ambient to 150°C ±0.1°
  9. Equipped with electric heathers controlled by PID system
  10. Secure handle cover to open the bath
  11. Fitted with Over temperature protection and alarm system

Software facility

  1. Dedicated PC software for real time monitoring and recording
  2. User can record and analyze the data for future reference
  3. Manages the bath temperatures by means of a PT100 sensor, that can be displayed in °C / °F,
  4. Displays the over temperature safety alarm
  5. Display of the pressure in bar (0 - 15) / psi (0 - 200) / Kpa (0 - 150)
  6. Graph creation in real time during the test
  7. Export of files in xls/pdf/jpg format

2) Pressure Vessels

Precision machined stainless steel Oxidation pressure vessel includes threaded body; Lid; Stem with filler rod and Mounting flange; Needle valve for purging, Pressurizing and Exhausting pressure vessel with oxygen; and Burst Disk assembly. Pressure vessel interior and inside of stem have a high polish to facilitate cleaning and prevent corrosion. Stainless steel burst disk ruptures at 223psi (1537 kPa) to prevent unsafe pressure build-up inside pressure vessel.

Note : In case of PC Software, the end user will have to arrange Desktop PC on his/her own.
