Applications

It is an indicator of the combustion qualities of Aviation Turbine Fuels and Kerosene. The fuel sample will be burned in the smoke point lamp and the maximum flame height obtainable without smoking is measured.

Brief construction details

The complete assembly consists of following parts and accessories.

1. A brass lamp body with chimney
2. 0‑50mm black glass scale with white markings
3. Brass plated door with curved glass window to prevent the formation of multiple images.
4. Good quality door hinges
5. A candle socket
6. Plated brass candle with wick tube & air vent
7. Mounted on a cast iron base with aluminum support rod.
