Sliding Double Door:

The sterilizer to be provided with two automatic sliding doors and shall be fabricated from SS 304. The door will be insulated with R. B. Glass wool insulation held in place by a stainless steel outer cover. The door sealing should be fitted with silicone door gasket. The gasket shall be pressurized by compressed air and retracted by vacuum. The door will be moved vertically via a pneumatic cylinder. Compound gauges, for gasket pressure, with door status indications are to be provided on both loading and unloading sides.

Door Safety Features:

Following door safety features are provided for maximum operator safety.

  1. Door inter lock to prevent simultaneous opening of both the doors during the process.
  2. Process‑lock to prevent opening of the non-sterile door after successful completion of the test cycle.
  3. Process-lock to prevent opening of the door during the process. 
  4. Door obstruction safety.
  5. Door will slide vertical via Pneumatic cylinder and Pneumatic line packages
    Insulation:
    The gap between the sterilization chamber and outer jacket will be heavily insulated with minimum of 50‑mm thick R. B. Glass Wool material to avoid thermal leakage.

    Cabinet Enclosure:
    The sterilizer will be mounted on a stainless steel skid and it will be provided with panelling on all sides. The cabinet will also be provided with two service doors on either sides for maintenance and cleaning.

    Vacuum Break Filter:
    A 0.3‑micron vacuum break Air filter is provided on the sterile side for pressure equalization after vacuum creation

    Piping Package:
    All process piping in contact with the chamber will be fabricated from SS‑304 grade material with argon welding. All connections and fittings used are sanitary tri‑clamp with silicone seals. All non‑contact piping will also be fabricated from SS‑304 grade material with argon welding. All drain lines and exhausts systems are connected to a drain manifold. The pipelines will have a 2% slope for full draining to prevent contamination. All pneumatic lines will be of polyurethane material with aluminum die‑cast connectors.

    Valve Package:
    The process valves in contact with the chamber will be of SS‑304 material with Teflon seat and triclamp connections. All non‑contact valves will also be of SS‑304 material with Teflon seat. All automatic valves will be pneumatically actuated angle valves. All the system valves will be actuated by instrument air controlled via solenoid valves.

    Steam Accessories:
    The jacket and chamber are provided with an over pressure safety valve. The jacket is provided with a steam trap.

    Surface Finish:
    The inside surface of the chamber and doors are finished to a surface finish better than 0.8 Ra value. All other non‑contact parts are polished to a surface finish better that 180 grit.

    Process Management System (In‑built programs):
    The sterilizer is designed to perform a wide range of test and production programs to meet the latest regulatory requirements. Following test cycles can be carried out during the operation.
    1. Gravity cycle (Slow exhaust cycle) ‑ For sterilization of media in open containers
    2. Component & Garment cycle
    3. Chamber leak test cycle
    4. Bowie & Dick test cycle
    Temperature and pressure sensors:
    Five TEMPERATURE SENSORS (RTD Pt-100) will be provided; Four inside the chamber and one at drain outlet. Inputs/outputs of all sensors and electronic parts are monitored, processed and controlled by PLC and HMI for accurate data processing. 

    A pressure transmitter is connected to the inside chamber. All utility lines to be provided with a pressure switches for generating an alarm in case of utility failure.  Least count of the pressure sensor will be 0.002 bar.

    Electrical Switchgear:
    The control cabinet to be provided with a main isolator for the three‑phase supply and a separate switch for the control supply. The fascia of the control panel is provided with indication LED’s and switches for operation. Switchgear make : Schneider

    Control Panel:
    Control system will be equipped with user friendly Touch screen ‑ HMI as a front end user interface. The panel will also be equipped with following attributes for PC and printer interface.
    1. RS 232 port for PC communication (Supplied without PC)
    2. In‑built Real Time Clock with date and time function
    3. An operator will be able to print data recording ‑ date, time, process parameters, process status, alarms etc on dot matrix printer (supplied without printer)
    Validation Ports:
    The chamber is provided with validation ports with tri-clamp connections. The validation ports are provided with special leak tight features for insertion of 16 flexible temperature sensors for validation of the system.

    Handling accessories:
    Shelves : Quantity 2 Nos will be provided for easy loading and unloading. The shelves will be fabricated from S.S. 316 Grade material.

    Online Process recording:
    A six point chart recorder for recording temperature at 5 points and pressure at 1 point is provided in the control panel as an independent monitoring and recording device.
    Port Provision to print on 80 column dot matrix data printer for recording - Date, time, process parameters, process status, alarm etc.
