Soil Hydrometer
The Soil Hydrometer is designed to measure density within a range of 0.995 to 1.030 g/ml. Crafted to ensure smooth contours, it avoids abrupt changes in cross-section, preventing cleaning or drying issues and minimizing the chance of trapped air bubbles. Graduations are calibrated for a liquid surface tension of 55 dynes/cm. Lines are marked at 0.0005 intervals, with every alternate line extended for ease of reading. Every tenth graduation is longer and numbered for easy reference. The scale is based on density at 27°C, with a maximum permissible error of ± one scale division.
Hydrometer Jar
The hydrometer jar is made from clear glass, with uniform thickness and a sturdy base. It features a 1000 ml capacity mark and a 7 cm diameter, with a height of 330 mm ± 5 mm. The overall height of the jar is approximately 460 mm, designed without a spout for simplified use.
Additional Accessories
Additional accessories, such as a high-speed stirrer and sodium hexametaphosphate, are available at an extra cost to facilitate the full testing process.
