Pressure-tight Chamber: The cell is made of high-quality, corrosion-resistant material to maintain a sealed, pressure-tight environment. It can withstand the maximum confining pressures required for different types of soils.
Membrane and O-ring Seals: A rubber membrane encases the soil sample to prevent water entry, with O-ring seals at both ends to prevent fluid leakage.
Piston for Axial Load: The triaxial cell haa a piston (loading ram) that transfers the axial load to the sample. This piston is carefully aligned and frictionless to avoid additional forces on the specimen.
Valves for Saturation and Drainage: It haa ports for drainage and saturation, allowing water or air to be added or removed as needed for different test configurations (e.g., consolidated-drained or consolidated-undrained tests).
