Applications

To perform the static bending strength of plywood as determined by central loading method and two-point load method. This test is intended to determine the strength (modulus of rupture), stiffness (modulus of elasticity × moment of inertia) and other properties related to flexural stress and is applicable to material that is uniform with respect to elastic and strength properties.

Details

Consists of following parts and accessories

1. An appropriate loading block for centre loading
2. Two support roller
3. The 3rd point loading nose is attached directly to the top arm of the universal testing machine by use of a clevis pin adapter. 
4. The bottom two supports are adjustable and can accommodate samples of different length. 

Note

1. End user must have universal testing machine capable of applying movable cross head rate @ 0.0015 cm/cm of outer fiber length per cm
2. This fixture is also suitable to conduct wet bending strength test as per IS : 710 (2017)
