Purpose

Used for determining the relationship between the moisture content and density of compacted soil.

Construction Details of Standard Proctor Mould :

• The moulds include collar, mould body and base plate.
• It will be made of Mild steel having capacity of 1000 cm3
• The mould will be fitted with a detachable base plate and a removable extension collar.
• The internal surface of the mould will be smooth.
• Complete with our own test certificate.
• Internal diameter of mould : 105 ± 0.5 mm
• Internal effective height    : 115.5 ± 0.5 mm
• Effective weight of mould  : 07 kg
• Volume                         : 1000 cm3

Construction Details of Standard Rammer :

• The rammers are provided with guide sleeve with vent holes.
• It is made of Metal which is chrome plated
• The rammer will be equipped with a suitable arrangement for controlling the drop to the BS specified height.
• Rammer diameter   : 50 ± 0.5 mm
• Rammer weight     : 2.5 kg
• Free fall height      : 300 ± 3 mm
