Application:

This is used for a quantitative determination of bitumen in hot mix paving mixtures and pavement samples.

Construction Details:

1. Safe & Portable model of sufficient size for quick and accurate determination of bitumen.
2. Corrosion-resistant model which can be used both in the field and the laboratory.
3. Consists of a removable cast aluminum rotor bowl mounted on a vertical shaft.
4. A filter paper disc is pressed in between the nut.
5. The bowl assembly is enclosed in a housing mounted on a cast aluminum body.
6. The gears operate in oil bath with splash lubrication.
