Applications
Evaluates particle retention and permeability of soil/geotextile systems. The test determines the compatibility of various types of geotextiles with cohesionless soils by measuring hydraulic gradient, system permeability, and gradient ratio. A 4in (102mm) diameter composite sample is prepared in the permeameter and tested with water in unidirectional flow.
