Introduction:

This test method is used to evaluate the oxidation stability of inhibited steam-turbine oils in the presence of oxygen, water, and copper and iron metals at an elevated temperature. The test method is also used or testing other oils such as hydraulic oils and circulating oils having a specific gravity less than that of water and containing rust and oxidation inhibitors.


Brief Construction Details:

The complete unit comprises of following main parts and accessories


1)  Dry Aluminum Block

  1. A Rectangular solid aluminum block bath with 08 test positions
  2. With wells, for test tubes, 48-51 mm in diameter (Bath opening) and 365 mm depth.
  3. Outer body fabricated from Mild steel material, Powder coated in attractive shades
  4. Heavy insulation between inner chamber and exterior body
  5. Inner chamber is fitted with efficient heating element and PT-100 Sensor
  6. Temperature is controlled by Microprocessor based PID Temperature controller
  7. Supplied with over temperature protection safety and auto cut-off system
  8. Temperature control accuracy : ± 0.5°C
  9. Temperature display        : LED
  10. Temperature range         : 40°C to 250 °C

Note : Reagents such as acetone, hydrochloric acid, isopropyl alcohol, oxygen, n-heptane and distilled water shall be arranged by the end user.
