Applications

The Mud Balance is used to determine the density (weight per unit volume) of drilling fluids, slurries, and cement as per ASTM D4380. It is essential for monitoring and controlling the density of drilling muds used in oil and gas exploration, ensuring proper wellbore stability and preventing blowouts.

Details

The Mud Balance has a volume sample cup with a lid, connected to a graduated arm, a moving rider, knife edge and a built in spirit level - measuring the density of the drilling fluid in 4 different ranges.

 The balance is made of a special aluminum alloy.
