Determining the matter insoluble in toluene is essential for assessing the quality and purity of materials like tar, bitumen, and pitches. Insoluble materials can affect the flow, viscosity, and bonding characteristics of bitumen or tar. The apparatus measures the insoluble content and indicates the presence of impurities. As per IS:1215:2021.


Supplied complete with Beaker (200ml), Sintered Glass crucible of porosity No.4, Filtering Funnel, Flask and 100 ml graduated cylinder. But supplied without waterbath, weighing balance and whatman filter paper No.5 (150mm dia filter paper required)


The set up as per ASTM D4072 is also available
