Cloud point and pour point are indicators of the lowest temperature of utility for petroleum products. The sample is periodically examined while it is being cooled in the cloud and pour point apparatus. The highest temperature at which haziness is observed (cloud point), or the lowest temperature at which movement of the oil is observed (pour point), is reported as the test result. As per ASTM D97/ISO 3016/IP 15/DIN 51597/IS 1448 Part 10

Following accessories will be the part of supply :

  1. Test Jars : (16 Nos) Cylindrical of Borosil make, Flat bottom with 33.2  34.8 mm outside diameter and 112 125 Ht. The inside diameter of jar can range from 30.0 to 32.4 mm within constraint that the wall thickness be no greater than 1.6 mm. The jar to have a line to indicate a sample height of 54 ± 3 mm above inside bottom
  2. Silicon Corks : 16 Nos of corks to fit the Test Jar, bored centrally for test thermometer
  3. Jacket : (2.5 mm thick)  16 Nos water tight, cylindrical, metal flat bottom 115 ± 3mm depth with inside diameter of 44.2 mm to 45.8 mm. It will be supported in a vertical position in the cooling bath, so that not more than 25mm projects out of the medium and will be capable of being cleaned. 
  4. Discs : 16 Nos of 5 mm thick to fit loosely inside the jacket 
  5. O Rings : Silicon "O" Rings with appropriate dimensions (16 Nos) will be provided
